DMV 驾考通 — Privacy Policy

DMV 驾考通 is an iOS application developed by Mingtu LLC to help users prepare for the California DMV written test. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use DMV 驾考通.

DMV 驾考通 does not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information. Specifically:

• No account registration or login required
• No collection of name, email, phone number, or location data
• No advertising or ad-tracking SDKs
• No tracking across other apps or websites

To improve the product, DMV 驾考通 collects anonymous feature-usage data — for example: app opened, study session started, mock exam completed, free-tier limit reached, purchase flow entered — along with the app version and device OS version.

• This data is not linked to your identity — we do not and cannot know who you are
• It never includes your answers, name, email, precise location, or any personal information
• Data is processed by PostHog (servers in the United States) solely to understand product usage
• It is never used for advertising and never shared with third parties for marketing

DMV 驾考通 stores the following data only on your device (never uploaded to any server):

• Study progress: Answer history, correct/incorrect statistics, study streak
• Bookmarked questions: IDs of questions you have saved
• Exam history: Mock exam scores and results
• Preferences: Language setting (English/Chinese/Bilingual), instant feedback toggle
• Purchase status: Whether the full version has been unlocked (managed by Apple StoreKit)

This data is stored using the standard iOS UserDefaults on your device. Uninstalling the app will erase all local data.

DMV 驾考通 offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock full access. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework. Mingtu LLC does not directly process any payment information. For details on how Apple handles your purchase information, see the Apple Privacy Policy.

DMV 驾考通 is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify users through an app update. Your continued use of DMV 驾考通 constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
